1. Can the mirror be painted?
Answer : Mirrors that are described as PTM (paint-to-match) are made specially to be painted. Mirrors that are described as Black are made to be installed with out painting but can still be painted. 80% of K-source mirrors are ABS plastic and can be painted or chrome plated. 20% of K-source mirrors are PP plastic (polyethylene) and cannot be painted or chrome plated.
2. Can I purchase mirrors from KSource Inc.?
Answer : K Source Inc. does not sell directly to the public, but our mirrors can be found in the majority of Auto parts stores nationwide and on several online sites.
3. Will the mirror be an exact replica of the original?
Answer : All of K Source Inc. mirrors are made to be identical and of equal or better quality.
4. What is the difference between chrome and stainless steel?
Answer : Chrome is a coating on top of metal or plastic that is highly reflective (like a mirror) and has no grain. Stainless steel is a steel alloy that does not stain, corrode, or rust as easily as ordinary steel (it stains less), but it is not stain-proof.
5. What color will my mirror be when I receive it?
Answer : Unless it states to have a chrome or white surface, 97% of our mirrors come in black. Please

6. What is the difference between a manual, manual remote, power and power heated mirror?
Answer :
- Manual mirrors do not have any kind of mechanism to move the glass, it must be adjusted by sticking your hand out the window.
- Manual remote mirrors have cables with a toggle stick at the end that goes in to the car. It can be adjusted from inside the car but not electrically.
- Power mirrors have electrical actuators that move the glass and the mirror comes with an electrical connection.
- Power Heated mirrors have the same functions as power mirrors and also has the ability to heat up the glass to remove frost or defog the glass.
7. Can I install a Manual mirror if I have a Power mirror?
Answer : In the majority of cases you can change from power to manual without harming anything in the car. If there are any doubts, please
contact us to assure it is possible.
8. Can I install a Power mirror if I have a Power heated mirror?
Answer : This is possible only in cars where the electrical plug for power and power heated is the same. Please
contact us if you are not certain about the functions on your mirror.
9. What is PTM?
Answer : PTM stands for Paint-to-Match and it is especially for cars where the mirror must be painted to the color of the car.
10. What is memory in car and truck mirrors?
Answer : Memory is a function that allows the car to remember the position you programmed your mirror so it can go back to the desired position with a touch of a button.
11. What is auto-dimming?
Answer : Auto-dimming is a function that dims the mirror automatically to adjust to the amount of light available for better visibility.
12. Will universal mirrors fit all cars?
Answer : Universal mirrors are made to fit the majority of cars and trucks, but not all. In very few cases the mirror cannot be adjusted to the required position because of the angle of the mounting area.
13. What is Muth signal mirror?
Answer : Muth mirrors are mirrors that have LED lights in the glass forming a shape of an arrow that flashes when the turn signal is turned on.
